Port Forwarding

Post by kingqueen » Fri Dec 21, 2012 3:03 pm

I would appreciate any pointers or help anybody can offer.

I have a KimSufi dedi running ubuntu on which I have installed OpenVPN using this guide. I've got OpenVPN installed on my Windows 7 PC and all is working fine.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to set up port forwarding such that traffic arriving at the dedi's IP on a specific port gets sent to the same port on my home PC. It can only be certain ports, not all, as the dedi runs other server software as well as OpenVPN.

I've done some searching and can't find an article that describes how to do this. I suspect it requires configuring of iptables which is more than likely beyond my technical ability. If anybody knows of an article that explains how to do this, or a useful tool, I would be very grateful.

Thank you
