I've found a lot of DNS registration problems/solutions in the forum, but not exactly the one we experience.

We're running OpenVPN 2.1 rc19 client on a Windows 2008 R2 server. The server is DC and DNS. The problem is that even if we deselect the advanced TCP/IP setting 'Register this connection's addresses in DNS', it does register the OpenVPN TAP adapter's address for the host. This is a problem for those who use this server as DNS, and tries to access the server from other subnets, as it can resolve to the VPN address.

Is it OpenVPN that register the host name in DNS?
If so, can it be disabled?
