Connect to a VPN via VPN

Post by Angel » Sat Jun 16, 2012 6:04 am

I want to create my own multi-hop OpenVPN

I would like to connect via an OpenVPN service, like BTGuard, HMA!, etc..., on one PC
to another PC runnning a different OpenVPN service which then connects to the internet.

If the second hop VPN goes down I want the first connection's IP to be leaked not my ISP assigned IP.
I know if the first connection goes down it won't connect to the second ... or can it?

I've read a little on pass-throughs; is this what I need to do?

Thanks,
Angel

I tried Internet Connection Sharing on the VPN, but it loses Internet Access.

And, when I remove OpenVPN, backup to a restore point before OpenVPN, or even do a restore from a system image ... then reinstall OpenVPN ... my connection DOES NOT go thru the VPN, but the regular LAN.

I tried Connectify.me and it gives me errors about DHCP services, but connectify.me is supposed to handle this.

Any help how I can force all traffic thru an OpenVPN server?

My router is a NetGear WNDR4500 with no official release of dd-wrt.

Thanks,
Angel

OK!

I got Connectify.Me to work wirelessly ... on a different machine. Still having trouble connecting wired. But, it is going through a router ... so is the wireless ... I will try a hub later. For now the wireless is working via OpenVPN

Thanks,
Angel
