remote restart of a client

Post by cesposito » Fri Apr 20, 2012 8:51 am

Hello together,

I have the following problem- I have an OpenVPN client (installed on top of OpenBSD) which has lost the connection with the server (OpenVPN Server with CentOS). Now it does not manage to get back, although the transmission is perfectly OK.
Is there a means to remotely restart this client?
Tahnks in advance for your help

if the client decides to disconnect then there's little the server can do about that; you'd be best of to write a script for the client which keeps reconnecting after the connection is disconnected.
If the *server* resets the connection then in most cases the client will attempt to reconnect by itself.
