Repeater Bridge Clients Forced Through VPN Tunnel

Post by ru5150 » Sun Oct 16, 2011 6:47 pm

Okay, bear with me... I know very little about networking, but have found myself with a problem I really want/need to resolve. My current ISP in the UK provided a modem/wireless router (Single device with stock firmware) which is wired to my desktop PC. Due to the layout of our house, I have to have the wireless signal rebroadcast on the ground floor so my wife can use her laptop in the basement. I took my old router WRT610n v1 and flashed it to dd-wrt, then followed a tutorial which helped me set it up as a "repeater bridge". I have placed the dd-wrt repeater bridge on the ground floor and collocated it with a PS3 (wired connection to LAN port 1).

I have been able to verify that the signal was boosted for the laptop in the basement, and that the PS3 is connected to the internet. My next step is where the problem comes up.

I have an account with OverPlay VPN (OpenVPN capable) and I would like to use the VPN tunnel for all clients who connect to the dd-wrt router (PS3, wife's laptop, etc.). I have no idea where to go from here, but I do have an indicator showing "connected" on my VPN tab on the dd-wrt router. Unfortunately all of the current clients on the dd-wrt aren't on the VPN.

Not knowing the correct terminology for any of this stuff, I don't know the first place to look to resolve this. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you in advance.
