Norton 360 firewall problem (nevermind... solved)

Post by KellerDH » Sun Aug 07, 2011 4:09 am

(I got this to work by changing server config file to add the dev-node option :) )

Hi. I'm a newb, but I got the basic config working for point-to-point connection (windows 7 server and client)... but, when I tried to get the client/server config working, I can connect, but my norton 360 firewall is blocking somehow. I know this because, when I disable the firewall, I can ping the server, and when it's enabled, I can't ping it. I saw in http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-sourc ... e-vpn.html that the firewall might be blocking the tun interface (we're using tun), but the page only shows linux method of unblocking firewall.

One other thing... the reason that we want to move to client/server config is because we'd like for all clients to be able to see each other's resources, and the how-to shows that the option "client-to-client" is only available for client/server configs. Right?

tx
