When using OpenVPN do you need to allow dns requests from the server? Cause my latest firewall rules that I have show dns being blocked and I can't get online so I'm not sure if this is the problem or not?
Shorewall:fw2net:DROP: IN= OUT=eth0 MAC= SRC=192.168.1.8 DST=192.168.1.1 LEN=59 TOS=00 PREC=0x00 TTL=64 ID=47906 CE DF PROTO=UDP SPT=47720 DPT=53 LEN=39
The other day I was able to get online fine so I suspect a routing issue on the server side since I've never had this problem before...
Plus I'm not aware that the server should be asking for me on the client side to allow a dns request from it?
THANKS
