How to backup and restore openvpn config and certificates

Hello all
If I have problem with the openvpn server, I want to be able to re-install everything but I don't want to re-create all certificates and config. How to backup everything?
For the moment I only copy the folder openvpn that contain everything. If i need to restore, I simply overwrite the openvpn folder with the one I have in backup.
It is correct to do it? Do you have a better solution?

more simpler that a single folder copy..? no
