Openvpn connected but no nas in windows explorer

I have been using openvpn for a few months now to access my 2 nas's outside the network. My set up of the vpn is done via my first nas a synology where I used the vpn app to export a config file for openvpn. This worked great when I made this and I could access this nas in windows explorer outside my network. Also a plus was that I could also access my wd nas via this vpn and all the traffic beside the nas's should have been going directly.
I don't use any user certificates. The problem I encountered a few weeks ago is that openvpn connect still connects fine but suddenly I can't access my nas's via windows explorer. This first happened on one of my computers and a few weeks later also on my laptop. I already tried reinstalling and I exported a new config file from the nas but still nothing. The connection looks fine. Does someone have experience with this or has a way to test something? I am kinda stuck here.
