Our current VPN server machine is slowly keeling over. I have a new machine loaded and ready to take over but now I need to migrate all of my clients to the new machine.
I built VPN on the new box and copied all of the configuration files from the old server.
1) is there a better way than touching every *.ovpn file and changing the 'remote' entry?
2) early tests are showing some difficulties in communicating between machines on the old network and the new even though the servers are using the same config (and ipp.txt) files. Anything I should be wary of?

Re: Migrating VPN server to new box
hi there,
if your server is behind a NAT router you can do the following:
prepare the new server (configs etc)
start the service
change the port forward on your router...
>but now I need to migrate all of my clients to the new machine.
migrate..?hmm..
all you need is the conf file,ca.crt,server.crt and key ,dh.pem, and ta.key
ccd's file (if used)
you fire up the new server and you are ready...
all clients of course will disconnect for a while..
can you please tell us about your setup more?
Michael.
