OpenVPN and Pre-Shared key

Post by queubufor » Mon Feb 21, 2022 11:56 pm

Hello,

I am a complete novice to OpenVPN, Linux, and networking in general. I wanted to find out a little more about pre-shared keys. How do I set one up if I wanted it in my OpenVPN implementation?

Thank you for your help.

Short answer: Because that is how openvpn works.

If you want to question Openvpn security then you are going to need to learn a lot more about it.

I suggest you simply follow the howto and create a standard PKI base complete VPN.
If you also want to try a static key VPN then try that too.
