Connection Error- was working yesterday now not connecting at all

I'm like 100% sure at this point its because of Norton but I genuinely can't figure it out. It's whitelisted. I've checked. I've made a special exception for it. Still nothing. Both OpenVPN and the VPNArea apps are allowed.

I downloaded this yesterday. It worked perfectly fine. Zero connection issues whatsoever. Then I went to bed, shut my laptop, and when I woke up this morning it's giving me these problems. The computer didn't restart, it was just in sleep mode. I turned it off and on again, still nothing. I've been combing through Norton but have had no luck. Norton has done this once before with another program, where it assured me it was whitelisted but was still blocking any and all attempts at connecting to the internet.

I am not particularly computer literate, so please in simple terms tell me anything I can give you to provide assistance. I'm pretty much at my wits and spending my whole morning trying to figure out what on earth happened.
