OpenVpn on new linksys router doesn't change ip

Post by myovpnuser22 » Fri Dec 10, 2021 8:50 pm

Hi,
So i have this new linksys router (WRT3200 ACM) and primarily got it for it's openvpn integration. All was good, until whether I connect from windows or my iphone, it works fine. But it doesn't change my ip address. Looks like all my browsing etc,. is still routed through my local connection instead of through my router i;m connecting. I saw an article here and the solution was "You need to push redirect-gateway from the server if you want to tunnel all traffic". But the openvpn feature on the linksys doesn't have that option. What is the solution ?

Thanks

fyi. there are only 4 settings. Server address, protocol, port (1194) and ip address allocation range.

There are more settings .. you should read your router manual.

nope, checked everything , there's none. I'm trying to see maybe if i can do a port forwarding and then setup a openvpn server on one of my servers and maybe the full openvpn server has lot more options.

The setting is: Redirect your client gateway -ish
