Let me just preface this by saying... im an absolute beginner. literally don't know most of the terms used here.
My uni has got this network blocker or sm... cant use p2p networks at all so hardly can game. so I thought let me try using a vpn and thus I reached here. I setup an EC2 instance following this article: https://towardsdatascience.com/how-to-c ... 5ca3b3ff32
Basically after setting up the server, turns out I am unable to connect and my connection keeps timing out. im guessing its something to do with the university side. Is it possible for me to use a different routing technique like IKEv2 or something else to connect? im able to connect to vpn on proton vpn using the stealth mode but nothing else. but since protons free tier doesn't support p2p networks cant really use that?
i probably am butchering the terminology so if u see any blatant mistakes in my wording or understanding please feel free to correct me.

Re: Unable to connect to my server
Hello inttrav,
It helps if you show the error on the OpenVPN client when it tries to connect.
And it may be helpful to contact your university network administrators and ask them for asssistance.
Kind regards,
Johan
