Hi I have installed Open VPN GUI and installed the certificate file. I then connect, enter password etc and get the green light and a different IP address which I checked using the MSDOS ipconfig/all and noting the change in my IPV4 ip address. YAY.
Of course then I went to the web and checked my IP - still the same ???
Oh hang on, so I have successfully changed my local IP address BUT not my modem router address
So my question is how do I get make this change ?
Just for clarity I have a modem router connected to the internet, its ip address to the outside world is 60.2xx.xxx.xxx.
We have several computers/devices on our local network 192.168.x.x including our modem router.
The computer I was testing on had the local ip address 192.168.1.80 and then after I ran OPENVPN, it was changed to 10.x.x.x
Local IP address hidden :) now how about my router :)

Hi thanks for the reply.
I only have the open VPN GUI running on my local PC within my home network, ie "C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\bin\openvpn-gui.exe"
I am not running a VPN server?
