Hi,
I am new to VPN but have to set up VPN connection. I have ASUS RT-AC68U router at work and it works with OpenVPN. I have exported ovpn file from asus and installed OpenVPN on my computer. I put ovpn file in correct folder and connected. Connection was shown as successful and I was assigned IP (192.168.13.6).
However nothing was working when connected. I couldnt see any computers on LAN, browsing in chrome was not working. I tried to ping asus router (192.168.13.1), but was timed out.
Does anyone know what the problem is or can you help me where to look since I am green at this and dont even know where to look.
thanks,
OpenVPN for ASUS RT-AC68U setup

Please see the HOWTO:
HOWTO: For OpenVPN Community Edition
This section is specific to your needs:
HOWTO: Expanding the scope of the VPN to include additional machines
Note: "Browsing" may not work .. you may have to select your intended target by IP directly.

Re: OpenVPN for ASUS RT-AC68U setup
Hi,
I tried to read HOWTO, but since I am not from IT field I dont understand most of it.
But, do I get correctly that server should push lan to client?
I checked router configuration (no config file, just page on router GUI) and it has this marked in advanced settings:
Advanced Settings
Poll Interval (in minutes, 0 to disable) 0
Push LAN to clients Yes
Direct clients to redirect Internet traffic Yes
Respond to DNS Yes
Advertise DNS to clients Yes
Manage Client-Specific Options No
Shouldnt it already work since it is marked "Yes"?
