I have an ovpn file I created for an openvpn server I setup. The ovpn file works fine on Linux and Windows computers and any whatsMyIP website I use always has the ovpn servers IP address as I expect. But when I import the same ovpn file into openvpn on Android the whatsMyIP sites show the IP as 192.168.100.6.
Is this expected? Is there some further tweaks required in the ovpn file or in the ovpn for Android app to make it pick up the servers IP?

just to add the IP address shows on the app screen as the PrivateIP and it does not change whether the phone is on WiFi or using the 4G network. I've read a few postings that talk about making changes on the server side, but as it works fine from Linux or Windows clients not sure I see why.

[SOLVED] Re: ovpn settings on Android to avoid 192.168.100.6
SOLVED ish .... sorry for noise actually it was working.
My problem is my more recent attempts to check where all by using a GetMyClient web page that is running on the same server that openvpn is running on.
That is still an issue to resolve, but is nothing to do with the Android openvpn client, which is working.
