Hello,
According to the document of OpenVPN Cookbook 2nd edtion, OpenVPN's implementation of NTLM authorization is rather limited.
It does not send out proper NTLMSSP messages and it works only with a very limited set of proxies.
I have confirmed that when I actually try to connect to the VPN via a proxy server that requires NTLM authentication, an authentication dialog appears on the client side.
I would like to configure the OpenVPN Client to automatically authenticate the Windows login account and password information without the proxy authentication request the dialog.
What changes to the open source version of the source code would make this feasible?
Or, if anyone knows of a document that details the authentication procedures between the client side and the proxy server required for the NTLM authentication implementation level, please let me know.
Kind Regards,
Question about the limitation of NTLM Authorazation
