howto kill specific client in multi-client server mode

Hello All,

i have setup openvpn server and allowed to 10 clients to connect
to it,, now if i want to gracefully kill some specific client on basis
of its ip or common how can i do that using openvpn command line
mode..is it really possible ?

you can via managment console -BUT-

if they run openvpn as service they will reconnect..

to temporary block them you must use ccd-exclusive directive
and rename/remove their ccd file..

Dear Maikcat,

I have establish one connection of client to server initially kept its file in ccd dir now
and on running connection i have renamed its file in ccd folder still the client is connected.


Howto gracefully kill it, is it possible without management interface..

AFAIK only using managment console and issuing kill cn

Hey Maikcat,

I have done it using management interface only.
I opened one tcp socket on management interface on my gui
and send kill command with specific client common name instance.\
