Hi,

I've been trying to figure this stuff out for around a month and I'm getting nowhere, looks like there isn't one tutorial on the internet either.

My provider privatvpn.se have no interest in helping with anything I've asked of them. I'm going to be switching when the term runs out due to when my connection drops, my real ip kicks in whilst I'm downloading torrents thus giving me zero safety - infact, it totally makes the VPN useless seeing as you can't rely on it for anything.

Anyway. I've heard about iptables and how I can set it up to block internet access when the tunnel thru the vpn breaks. I've looked this up for weeks now and just losing my mind. I've found windows solutions, but I'm using ubuntu, 10.04 to be specific. My main network card where i receive internet from is wlan0 - is there anybody out there that can actually help me? I also don't understand why there aren't more posts on the internet relating to this - do people not realise that their vpn's are 100% useless when the connection to the vpn drops? I am totally conpuzzled by it all.

A tutorial for a beginner linux user would probably be asking too much.....
