I'm connecting to public wifi with OpenVPN and Tomato, to my home router.

I can receive my emails on this connection, however, I cannot send email.

I am using cox.net service if that matters. Is there a way to configure my OpenVPN and Tomato enabled router to allow sending of my emails while using the VPN?

this is not a vpn problem, sorry

hi there,

your problem is clearly SMTP based (closed relay?)

as krzee said not openvpn issue.

Ok understand not an OpenVPN issue. It was just at one particular public wifi location. Accessing my VPN at my friends did not have a problem. Thanks.
