Hi, this is my wish.

I can see that we have the tutorial and routing and firewall section but there is not much guide for us on those sections to block ddos attacks.

It happens to be that the firewall issue is somewhat related to iptables but the section still available here so I guess I ask ask this wish anyway.

I wish that there should be a firewall rule available to us to block the ddos attacks. Bebop, one of the members here, provide us some input about Iptables (port forwarding). I guess is it also important to prevent if not block the ddos attack that affects the connection.

blocking ddos attacks has nothing to do with openvpn i believe...

there are plenty sites out there for configuring iptables..

my advice:

if you want you net to be really secure simply buy a firewall appliance
there are many vendors (cisco,watchguard,juniper) with *very* good products.

ps: if someone wants to post iptables guide ,feel free to do it.

I guess this is a wish section right? That is also why I mentioned that we have tutorial and firewall sections. Therefore, this forum allows topics about the said sections.

And I guess since this is wishlist section, it is directed towards the admins, moderators, creator, or owner of the site.

And I am respectfully wishing the said wish.
