OpenVPN Server on Windows 7/Vista 64bits in french... bug

Post by tardich » Tue Apr 12, 2011 2:06 pm

Hello,

I've installed the latest stable release of OpenVPN on Windows 7 64 bits, in french. The installation process goes OK, but as soon as I'm trying to configure it (init-config runs OK, vars runs OK, but build-ca fails with this error message:

keys\ca.key: No such file or directory
6992:error:02001003:system library:fopen:No such process:.\crypto\bio\bss_file.c:356:fopen('keys\ca.key','wb')
6992:error:20074002:BIO routines:FILE_CTRL:system lib.\crypto\bio\bss_file.c:358:

If I copy everything from the bin directory to the easy-rsa directory, everything goes fine, but this can't really be a solution, or the installer has to do it by itself.

I tried it on Windows Vista 64 bits in french, same problem.

Can this comes from the fact that Microsoft had the wonderful idea of changing the "Program Files" directory as "Programmes" in the GUI? When you go in the DOS prompt, the paths all remain the same, but in the GUI, they localize the apparent path names.

Can someone confirm the problem? Is there already a solution?

The OpenVPN client is working correctly, as the OpenVPN server, at run time. It's only a problem at config time.
