OpenVPN Support Forum

Hey all! We are having an issue with Openvpn. Currently all of our clients have 2 openvpn tunnels coming to them. One of them is stable all the time but the other goes down every once in awhile. The odd thing is that on the client it still shows the tunnel is up, but you can't ping through the openvpn server tunnel address. Once we issue an openvpn restart we can then ping through the tunnel again to the server. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to keep this from happening? I know about keepalive but that seems to be only on the server side. It would be nice to have a keepalive directive on the client side for the same situation, if ping isn't received with 60 seconds then the service is restarted. Is there a way to do such a thing with openvpn? Any input or ideas are greatly appreciated.
