Question about what OpenVPN on a DD-WRT router can do?

Hey everyone, not sure if this is the best thread for this. I have 2 servers one is Windows Server 2008 SBS and one is an Asterisk server. My router I'm about to install DD-WRT on which has OpenVPN community edition with it from what I've been told.
Right now all my users VPN using Windows Server's built in VPN. I want to use the OpenVPN on the router so that I can do router to router VPN to connect an IP phone from my home. Here's where I'm not clear though. When I go into the OpenVPN settings on the router, it has all this information for settings, but no where does it mention usernames or passwords or anything. I asked in the DD-WRT forum and they told me it's because it's the community edition. I"ve been reading the website but I'm still lost, does the community edition not support users but only certificate type connections?
If so, then I guess it's the Access Server product that I need. If that's the case though, what server is it best to install the OpenVPN on? I can't seem to find out if it has a server for Windows, and I'm not sure if it's good to install it on my Asterisk IP PBX which runs on CentOS? Hoping for some help, thanks!
