new server hardware

hi,

I have now a Dell 1425 server that have 4 tunnels, to different sites with 100Mbit leased lines and the setup works perfect.
Now I must 'upgrade' to 6 tunnels and 2 bridges on the same server but the new tunnels/bridges are going to use a Gbit leased line.
Tests has showed when trying to use the full Gbit bandwidth the cpu does to 100% before we use 300Mbit.
I know there are processors that support AES encryption like Intel Xeon E5640 Processor.
Can this help me, or do you all know other solutions ?

what OS?
is each tunnel a separate process? if so why dont you run a single server process and have the remote areas connect in as clients?

No i do not run each tunnel in a sepperate process, just have not founf how to do this.
I'm using gentoo linux on a 2.6 kernel.
for auditing reasons we need a site2site tunnels and not clients.
