linux bridge and openvpn

hello I would like to known if I configure a openvpn on port 2222 udp on both sides the Software (openvpn) only going to uses those ports? or is going to use high ports too?

I am doing a bridge on my linux and I know esacly what port the open vpn is going to use?


can somebody help me on that?

for the tunnel, it will only use the port you tell it to use.

Was under the impression that the port# specified in the config was only used for handshaking then OpenVPN will then just randomly use avail ports to maintain the bridge and these change everytime the connection is interrupted. Pic linked above of OpenVPN flashed DD-WRT router with default 1194 port used...notice 2 clients are connected via port 1031 and 49180 at that particular time...

the impression you were under was wrong.
the other connection is unrelated to openvpn
