By helping test these features, and reporting back on either of the mailing lists, you can help these features become part of the stable branch

I would like it if they were also available for Windows.

i believe that is being worked on, the issue is with automated cross-compiling for windows if i remember correctly

We discussed some of this today during the developers meeting. We are working on setting up a windows VM so that we can provide these snapshots on a regular basis.
