HTTP3 / QUIC Incompatibility?

Hello, on both Firefox and Chrome (and Edge), when I am connected to OpenVPN, I cannot watch videos (e.g., youtube) or load certain websites (e.g., quora) unless I disable HTTP3/QUIC support in the browser. This happens on both my computer and my Android phone. Any app that does not allow me to disable HTTP3/QUIC downloads very slowly. My openvpn server is setup on UDP Port 443. Does that have something to do with this problem? as I understand QUIC also uses UDP 443. I can't be the only one with this issue? I've searched far and wide and couldn't come across a mention of this on the interweb.

Hi, did you find any remedy for this. I am facing the same problem here.
Being in a coountry where FB and IG only works via VPN, there is actually no use of it because of the meda and posts not loading. I only see my Firefox waiting to load static.xx.fbcdn.net resources. Android APP IG and FB just keeps loading. Sometimes they finish loading after long period of time, sometimes they just give up reaching timelimits.
I wonder if this QUIC / HTTP3 thing has somehow to do with the OpenVPN configuration or verision. As the documentation says, the implementation goes on very slowly. Eve among the VPN providers not all support this new protocol..

For Openvpn I found no solution to get IG, FB and other blocked apps to work.

But I had success with spinning up custom Shadowsocks proxy server
https://github.com/shadowsocks/shadowso ... /README.md
There is an android and ios client as well and setting up took a few minutes. This way the apps work flawlessly.

This issue might be due to the way QUIC handles UDP traffic, potentially causing interference with OpenVPN.

You're definitely not alone in facing this problem. Some users have reported similar issues on forums. Disabling HTTP3/QUIC in your browser settings is a common workaround, but it's not ideal.

Change OpenVPN port: Choose a different port for your OpenVPN server. Configure firewall rules: Prioritize OpenVPN traffic over HTTP3/QUIC. Adjust OpenVPN configuration: Explore traffic shaping or prioritization options.
