Hi,

I have an odd problem after provisioning an updated OpenvpnAS 2.12.2 running on ubuntu 22 LTS wherein the vpn stops working (all users disconnected), and the webpage not loading.

Upon SSH, the service is running fine. my workaround is to restart the service manually (or the server itself) which is an annoyance.

I have updated my users to use the latest Openvpn connect client to 3.4.2 (3160).

just a hunch (but no confirmation yet) that some users when logging in, might trigger the openvpnas to stop working

Kindly seeking your help on this matter as it became very recurring on the latest openvpnas, to a daily basis. otherwise, my older openvpnas instance runs rock solid for 3 years straight without any issues.

Regrettably it seems that the OpenVPN 2.6.7 release has the possibility to segfault crash. And Access Server 2.12.2 uses that OpenVPN 2.6.7 release. Most likely this is the issue you're faced with. We've only just very recently gotten the crash reports and we're dealing with it now.

We are currently working on releasing Access Server 2.12.3 that has a fix for this in place. Most likely it will go out today or tomorrow.

In the meantime there is also the option to rollback to 2.12.1, and/or wait for 2.12.3 to come out that should solve this.

i just saw an update to OpenVPN Access Server 2.12.3. will try that one now.
