Which version for pfsense?

Hi,
I've used a few clients to connect to pfsense. I now have been given a pfsense box which is v2.5.1 and unable to be updated.
The pfsense-vpn exporter won't install as this needs a major update. So I am trying to configure it manually. Which openvpn windows client is best to attempt this fun game?
