How to fix OpenVPN request error "address is not IPv4"?

After trying to fix network settings for reach localhost from Windows in WSL 2, my OpenVPN client stopped working. I did only port forwarding and Firewall rules by netsh and NetFireWallRule commands. From another device I still can connect. Here my openVPN logs:




For "TAP_Windows Adapter" I use "Obtain IP/DNS address/server automatically" for IPv4 and IPv6. Thanks!

I already tried reset network, reset everything by netsh and NetFireWallRule. I also did "Reset PC" without saving any data. And I still getting this error.

This is a known issue with the latest connect client on Windows, that is being investigated atm.

You can follow this guide to make Windows priritize IPv4 traffic over IPv6:

Or you can downgrade to a previous connect client version, where this issue isn't present:
