Fedora CLI connection to OpenVPN server - no DNS

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in since there is no option for Linux clients.
I'm using a Sophos-generated config file to connect to an OpenVPN / SSL server. On the Sophos side the DNS is set to push a DNS server, but this information is not imported into Fedora's resolver and thus I cannot resolve tunnel-side resources properly.
I have tried numerous CLI-options when loading the config file but none of them correctly get me DNS for tunnel-side resources.
