VPN duplicity

Post by rochagues » Thu Apr 13, 2023 6:26 pm

Hello Team,

Two identical certificates were generated for employees X and Z. When employee X tries to access the VPN and employee Z is already using it, employee Z's connection is terminated, and he is unable to reconnect.

I would like to know how to normalize the connection for both employees without creating duplicate accounts.

Note: We have already deleted the certificates for both employees and created new ones, specifying the correct users, but the problem persists.

Hello rochagues,

To be honest I don't see how that is possible with OpenVPN Access Server unless something is done wrong manually or there is a problem in the database somehow. If this is truly happening I suggest you contact our support and provide details so we can investigate the problem. I have no solution for this issue here because it should not be possible in the first place, and I have never heard of this before either.

Kind regards,
Johan
