Adding OTP to Authenticationfile

Post by frederik.sinniger » Fri Mar 31, 2023 2:55 pm

Hey everyone

Im looking into automating the VPN authentication so I can easily open a VPN session to our Customers. We have to use OTPs to authenticate and there is no option to add one to a Authentication file. Is there any way of adding the Option to add a OTP into such a file? I also thought about using the cli but with the OpenVPN gui the cli is really limited. Any Ideas?

Best Regards
Frederik

Hello Frederik,

For automated connections you really should use autologin profiles. They do not require MFA or username/password.

I am not currently aware of a way to inject MFA tokens into a fully automated connection.

Kind regards,
Johan
