I have a simple question, I need to verify the last dev package:

#gpg --keyid-format LONG --verify openvpn-2.6_beta2.tar.gz.asc
gpg: Signature made Thu 15 Dec 2022 02:16:33 PM GMT
gpg: using RSA key 8B7417B3EBB3B309
gpg: Can't check signature: No public key

searching the key on server:

#gpg2 --search 8B7417B3EBB3B309
gpg: searching for "8B7417B3EBB3B309" from hkp server keys.openpgp.org
gpg: key "8B7417B3EBB3B309" not found on keyserver

where is the public key ?

That server probably did not get the key, but you should be able to find it here: https://keyserver.ubuntu.com/pks/lookup ... n&op=index
