Hi,

Just installed OpenVPN on windows 11 machine. Ran setup file as provided by company admin. installation went ok

Machine is connected to wifi.

Try to connect using usrname/pwd, but returns an error in log:

ERROR: could not read Auth username/password/ok/string from management interface

new to vpn, any suggestions on a possible fix or what to look for.

Apparently OpenVPN is of the opinion it needs a username/password to connect to this server but it's not getting it from whatever client you're using. What client program are you using? And what type of server are you connecting to - something you set up yourself or some existing service?
