easy rsa 3 build key command

Good morning,
I am having problems with easyrsa3.
I upgraded from OpenVPN 2.4.7 to 2.5.7 and I am not able to create clients.
Is there a step by step guide?
With the old EasyRsa I would run the "VARS" and "build-key" commands and then create the relevant CCD file by hand and that was it.
Now I'm lost
