I have two openvpn connections pushed to ios via MDM (Intune). This used to be working (config untouched since) without an issue last time I have checked (~6 months ago).
Here's what I see:
When I open OpenVPN, I only see one connection (instead of the two that was pushed to the device by MDM). I can not start the connection through the openvpn app. Flicking the switch does nothing.
The connection seems to be working as expected when triggered by autoconnect rules or manually starting via the iOS Settings > VPN panel. I can select either connection, both seems to be working as expected network wise.
Even when the VPN is active (started through the iOS system Settings > VPN panel or automatically triggered, the OpenVPN Connect app still shows the connection to be disconnected, but also shows the connection throughput graph that would normally be visible when the connection is active. I also noticed that the connection duration display seems to be stuck at 00:00:00.
Here's a video of it in action: https://youtube.com/shorts/eJpzAoVy3jI
Tried using a newly reset iPhone, same symptom.
iOS: tested on 15.2 and 16.0
OpenVPN Connect app: 3.3.2 (5086)

Re: OpenVPN app only showing one profile and UI broken
My bad, setting in Intune and pushing the new settings solved the UI discrepancy.
Code: Select all
vpn-on-demand = 1
