Configuring site to site with Pfsense

Post by mr-elamin » Wed Aug 31, 2022 2:55 pm

Hi,

I would like to connect two sites together using OpenVPN cloud, I have Pfsense virtual machine in each site and the internet is running through the firewall smoothly, but now I am looking for a useful information to configure the two Pfsense to allow the first site with the subnet 10.18.0.0/22 to connect with the another site in another country with the subnet 10.10.0.0/22, I have opened an OpenVPN account and I have created a connector with the two subnets above.
could someone please guide me how to configure the two Pfsense on the both sites to get connected.

I appreciate any help a lot.
Thank you.

Hi,

To achieve your requirements, you need to create two networks, deploy pfsense connector in the first network and define 10.18.0.0/22 subnet, then deploy the other pfsense connector on the second network and define 10.10.0.0/22. And on each network behind it's pfsense make sure to configure needed routing going to the other site network next-hop to the pfsense local/lan ip.
