Sharing connection in subnet capture vpn

Post by Unabashed7313 » Mon Aug 29, 2022 2:20 pm

I am trying to share my open vpn connection (tap0) with multiple Ethernet connections.

eth1 connects to the internet and has no issue with the vpn.
eth2 connects another device to the pc.

Connection sharing eth1 with eth2 give the device internet but no vpn connectivity. While connection sharing tap0 gives vpn connectivity but no internet.

The vpn is set to capture traffic going to its sub-net instead of capturing everything. My goal is to get the device on eth2 to have internet and vpn connection.

I've tried playing around with static routes and mtu's on the routes but have not found success. Hence I am reaching out here for help after many hours of poking things and googling around.
