OpenVPN AS with LinOTP

Post by Cody » Thu Jul 14, 2022 2:07 am

Hello!
Here is my setup for the task: openvpnas 2.8.5, AD, LinOTP 2.11.2

Does anyone know way to connect them together?
I found only this https://www.linotp.org/howtos/howto-openvpn.html
But its for openvpn, and not working.

Funny fact about the default radius plugin. When using it, I can only authenticate with the username and OTP.
Is it bag or feature? =)

Hi Cody,

Can you at least upgrade to latest version 2.11.0?

And regarding integration with LinOTP - no idea. Access Server supports RADIUS, and that should work just fine. If you want MFA on that, please use the built-in MFA that Access Server already has.

Kind regards,
Johan

Hello Johan!
I get 2.8.5 version from actual image on AWS. Will try to update it.

We have at least 3 VPN servers, and its terrible to use different OTP for every service + OTP for general AD authentication. Is it impossible to use 3rd party OTP in OpenVPN? As you can see on link in my first post it was possible long time ago.
