Accessing Home LAN From Cloud OpenVPN Server

I want to run a cloud instance of an OpenVPN server that will allow a user to enter it from the Internet, be redirected through a permanent, encrypted tunnel from that server to my home OpenVPN client running on a Raspberry Pi 4 on my home LAN, and ultimately allow the user to gain access to my home LAN as a peer client.

I already have OpenVPN servers and clients setup and running on my home LAN but now need to understand how to configure them for this more complex use case.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds complicated.

Since Comcast is blocking inbound OpenVPN server traffic to my home, Internet access to my home LAN needs to come through the public cloud and down into my home via a static VPN tunnel. The tunnel ends would be made up of an OpenVPN client on my home LAN accessing an OpenVPN server in the cloud. Once set up, the OpenVPN server in the cloud would redirect all incoming Internet traffic down the tunnel to my home LAN. Outbound traffic from the home LAN would go up the tunnel and to the public cloud OpenVPN server and out to the Internet. Is that really a complicated use case?

It is, if you have not read the howto.

If using a search engine to find the number 1 howto for openvpn is difficult
then configuring openvpn is going to be impossible.
