Hello everyone, I recently did a OpenVPN installation (All setting are their defaults ones) on a VPS for a friend since he was in need for a VPN and I told him that I could get him this because well... I personally think it's better and I tested everything and I was getting ok speeds but when I helped him setting everything up so he could use it when he started using and did a speed test he was getting 10mbps while I was getting 120mbps and I have no idea what could be causing it, so I've decided to come here and ask you guys that are probably are more experience with this than me.

He has a 500/500mbps connection. I should had mentioned that in the post.

I mean it would be useful to have a crystal ball sometimes but this time not necessary, I should've mentioned it on my post which I forgot

Really dude? Did I came here for help or to lose my time with a "Moderator" that instead of helping tries to be funny? Because if you are not going to help I'll just gladly uninstall OpenVPN and use something else.

You have an unidentified network bottle-neck, identify it.

May be you could try a search on some search engine.

Will Ask Jeeves be enough to make my search? Anyways, I've check a million things and everything seemed to be fine also he tried programs that uses OpenVPN like ProtonVPN and he had 0 problems, only using OpenVPN he was problems I've asked him to show me all settings possible (OpenVPN Connect, Windows, Everything) and he has all the ones that I have which are the default ones, I would find weird if it was something weird like the server itself because I have no problems and also would find it weird if it was something related with his computer because his computer is way better than mine, So I'm a little confused to where to look for problems because everything should be able to handle and work with more than 10mbps.

You need to show us your Openvpn config and log files.

Otherwise, You could try a Time-Jump , at your own risk

So you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to sleep now since it's currently 4 AM for me and later today I'll try to again some things that I have in mind and if nothing works I'll just get ride of OpenVPN and try something else bucause if I keep coming here for help I'm definitely not going to get it because every single time you answer this topic you try to post something funny and I didn't come here for funny comments and stuff like that I came here for HELP.
