Hi team,

I setup my openvpn via azure portal. It works before, but suddenly I cannot connect with it. I can ssh my VM, and I didn't change any settings on my azure. The logs are as follows. Anyone has any idea? Thanks in advance.

Hi both,

"Server poll timeout" always means that the server's reply to your connection attempt was not received. In most cases it means the server did not receive your initial connection attempt at all.

The "fix" is to talk to your VPN administrator.

If that person is you, as I think it is in hogo's case, the answer usually is to configure the firewall appropriately, to allow in the necessary ports. That means on Azure. As an Access Server user you will want TCP 443 and 943, and UDP 1194, allowed in from outside.

In Steph's case we have no idea what sort of server is being used.

In neither case is it an OpenVPN Connect issue.

Hi Team,
My situation is basically the same as Hugo's and I have tried the steps above but it is still not working on my side.
My friend has used my profile and tried to set up the vpn on his phone, it works for him well. But it just keeps showing "server poll timeout" on my side.
And it had been running well in the past months until yesterday morning.
Would there be any other issues?

Best,
Constance

Hi,
The same problem occurred with my SetupVPN system.
I configured SetupVPN server on CentOS Stream 8, and it worked well before.
But 3 days ago, the vpn client could not connect to the VPN server
suddenly. Now it echoes ' server poll timeout, trying next remote entry...'.

Does anybody who can help to solve the problem?

Thanks,
Best regards.

Hello everyone,

I am also experiencing the same problem as constancelaurences and qijun. Worked well a couple of weeks before. Does still work on my Android phone. Doesn't work anymore on my Windows 10 machine. Maybe this has something to do with recent Windows updates?

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19045.4170]
OpenVPN Connect 3.4.4 (3412)

Any thoughts?

Woops, just noticed that I am in the wrong forum. Also noticed, that I should have posted on the new server. Sorry about that. For the curious --> https://forums-new.openvpn.net/forum/op ... ve_timeout
