Hey guys - ran in to the same issue. Got the same error on my OpenVPN Client on my MacOS. However I didnt have an entry in my hosts file

Im using a Netgear NightHawk XR1000 for connecting to my home network.

I installed the .ovpn file on my Android phone... works greats

Just on my MAC getting this error. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Been TS this endlessly!

What is the server? Maybe server-side logs would help (--verb 4). You mention ".ovpn file" which sounds like you might be talking about Access Server? If so this belongs in a different forum.
