Using OpenVPN client for Linux "machines"

Did somebody try to install and test OpenVPN client on Linux WSL2 VM (Fedora-like) that gets the Eth0 interface from the Host and is managed by Linux NetworkManager's plugins to avoid double tunneling and all cry "When I installed VPN client WSL networking stopped to work completely!" What are the pre-requisites behind eth0 and Tunl0 links up inside the VM?
