OpenVPN Connect or OpenVPN Gui

Hello guys,
One question, in the past I've always used OpenVPN Gui, but from today I see that we can also downloads OpenVPN Connect. I'm not sure that's in the past it was possible without "OpenVPN Access Server".
I use OpenVPN on pfSense & Synology NAS. My question are :
Can I use this OpenVPN Connect client without issue (I mean Licence issue usage for exemple) ? And
There are some difference between Connect and Gui beside that Connect is more users friendly ?
