Windows subsystem Ubuntu installation stuck for 1+ hour

Hi all,

I am trying to install the server on a newly installed Ubuntu on Windows 10 subsystem. The install was stuck for more than an hour. I canceled out of it, rebooted the machine and tried to reinstall ... I got the message "dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem" ... did that and now it is stuck at "Setting up openvpn-as (2.8.6-916f8e7d-Ubuntu20)" for more than 20 minutes again!

Will it go thru or does it not work on Windows subsystems?

Appreciate it.

We have not tested Access Server on the Windows Subsystem for Linux. So result on this are not guaranteed. To be honest, I have no idea if it will work at all, it's simply not part of our test procedure or even supported environments. We'll take a look and see if there's anything we can do to make it work, within reason.

I got the same issue. It stalled at 97% so I exited Ubuntu and restarted it and it was the same message you got

"dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem"

But doing that just does the same issue.

So I purged openvpn-as from the system after a restart again and it is reinstalling again. But now it stalled at 60%.

I am going to keep trying till I figure this out. I really want a VPN for my house.
