Have you looked for the TAP adapter ?

The device manager reports that both - the TUN and the TAP adapters do not have signed drivers (error code 52).
However during the installation the OS popped-up to ask me whether I do trust the vendor. I answered YES for both questions...

I get exactly the same (== 536870397) error code when trying to install v2.5.4 on
vanilla win7/64
Update Win7, otherwise it cannot verify the drivers.

Updating win7 helped, the OpenVPN works now.
(most probably - the RootUpd alone would be enough, but I installed all the updates available)
